While with Austin AECOM, Todd Heirls and Kevin Anderson were
responsible for the Project Management and Project Architecture for the
completion of the new Bucks County Courier Times production facility.
This project involved site selection services and extensive city and
zoning interaction to receive approval to proceed. The final project
encompassed planning, programming, design and construction
administration for a consolidated 89,000 square foot facility on a
brownfield site. This facility encompasses warehousing, production,
packaging and distribution.

This production facility maintains the ability to receive newsprint from
over the road trucking and rail siding.

Todd worked closely with the owners planning team and the equipment
vendor’s personnel to coordinate and integrate the selected production
and packaging equipment into the facility. The facility incorporated a
MAN Roland geoman double wide press, a GMA SLS2000, associated
gripper conveyor and downstream packaging equipment.
