Cartridge World Store
Location: California St., Denver, CO
Square Footage: 1,250 SF
Completion: Fall 2007
ArcWest Architects worked early on with the owners, Jeff Roach and Peggy Fitzstephens, to understand the needs of their new business venture. They had leased a vacant retail space in the Denver Dry Goods Building that would need to be retrofitted for their Cartridge World franchise operation.
The key aspect of the preliminary design was to gain a full understanding of the work processes of their business, and the equipment which would be required to support the operation. The final layout provides a customer lobby, display area for walk-in sales. The back of house operations included two main work rooms, one for servicing toner cartridges and the other for refilling ink jet cartridges with a testing area. A single private office, an all purpose work room with a scullery sink, and a toilet room completed the essential needs for the new store.
