Kevin Anderson, Principal at ArcWest Architects provided low cost
architectural and design services for the redevelopment of the storefront
and signage for the Dalke’s Laundry building.

Improvements made to this project include new aluminum storefront
windows and doors, building mechanical screens, raised landscape
planters, street trees and marquee signage. The marquee signage was
designed to improve building visibility, strengthen the intersection and
commercial strip heritage.

This building establishes the entry to Aurora and the boundary of the
historical East Colfax arts and entertainment district known for its Art
Deco and Mid Century Modern architecture. This is a federally funded
project and was administered by the City of Aurora’s Community
Development office.
