University Hospital Synergy - Landerbrook
Location: Landerbrook, Ohio
Square Footage: 850
Completion: 1995

The Culinary Demonstration Center of Landerbrook is a
component of the University Hospital Synergy program. Synergy
represents the accumulation of associated health services in
strategic community locations around the Cleveland, Ohio area.
This center is associated with Cardiac Prevention and the Internal
Medicine Offices

As an employee of Zannoni Hechaman Payto, Partnership, Inc.
Todd Heirls was responsible for Program Management, Design
and Project Architecture of the Synergy complex. This project
encompassed planning, programming, design and construction
administration for an 850 square foot teaching kitchen and
conference area. This demonstration center is utilized to offer
patients an opportunity to learn proper cooking techniques for
better health. The kitchen incorporated all appliances normally
found in a residential kitchen in a roundtable viewing configuration.
The conference center can be separated from or attached to the
food preparation area allowing a demonstration and a speaking
event to occur simultaneously.

Todd Heirls worked closely with the planning staff as well as
respected speakers to determine the ideal food prep and
demonstration environment. Custom hoods and fire protections
systems were required to integrate this residential style kitchen in
a commercial property
