While with Austin AECOM, Todd Heirls was responsible for the Project
Management and Project Architecture required for the completion of this
Addition to the existing production facility. This project involved the
planning, programming, design and construction administration of a
29,000 square foot addition to the existing production facility on an
existing site. This expansion encompassed packaging, distribution, and
production offices, while free standing Insert storage and other support
spaces were included in converted and renovated existing space.

This production facility addition was challenged by the addition of new
gripper conveyor systems through the existing facility and the
requirements to maintain production in the existing facility through out
construction.

Todd worked closely with the owners planning team and the equipment
vendor’s personnel to coordinate and integrate the selected packaging
equipment into the facility. The facility incorporated two GMA SLS3000
machines, associated gripper conveyor and downstream packaging
equipment.
