East Oregonian Publishing Company, an independent newspaper group, sought to explore the opportunity to create a new production facility to consolidate the printing for the Daily Astorian, the Capital Press, along with various weeklies and commercial printing contracts.
The proposed design shown above was to be located in Warrenton, Oregon adjacent to the Astoria Airport.
ArcWest Architects provided individualized a la carte’ planning and schematic design services working in conjunction with Chuck Blevins & Associates to generate a tailored solution that would fit the needs of the East Oregonian Publishing Company. Numerous production schemes and various sites were studied in a diligent effort to provide an optimal facility supporting the most cost effective business model.
