Is an idea feasible? Is the capital, space and staffing available? Often this task is simply a financial review done by the owner prior to engaging the design professional. On more complex projects, or projects which have an elevated level of variability, an owner may engage the design professional to evaluate and document the project data required to render the correct decision. This is sometimes referred to as a due diligence exercise to understand the variables for a project, and how they may impact the ultimate design, construction and cost.

ArcWest Architects will work with the owner to understand “high level” project needs and prepare design documentation, including conceptual designs, schedules, and phasing documents. This information would then be used to solicit construction estimates from builders or estimators. Once compiled the project parameters including estimates can then be used to determine the feasibility and calculate the (ROI) return on investment.
